2021 COVID Statement

  • Attendees of ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE’s events and activities are responsible for their own health and safety at all times. While ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE will institute enhanced safety protocols, registrants knowingly and freely assume all risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19. ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE is not liable for illnesses or other medical issues arising from voluntary attendance.
  • ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE events will follow current guidelines including those for large gatherings provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a minimum safety threshold but will also include the following best practices for elevated health and safety protocols.
    • With the FDA approval of the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine, all attendees, exhibitors, and staff are required to be fully vaccinated OR provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test in order to attend and participate in the 2021 ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE. Negative test results must be dated no earlier than September 24, 2021. We will provide appropriate methods for collecting copies of vaccination cards or negative COVID-19 testing in advance of the event.
    • All ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE attendees, exhibitors, and staff are required to wear a mask while in the Minneapolis Convention Center as per City of Minneapolis COVID-19 guidelines.
    • City of Minneapolis guidelines may update based on future guidelines released by the City or other government or healthcare organizations.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Any public space where other people are present holds an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases. By attending this event, I agree to voluntarily assume all risk related to exposure and agree to not hold ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE or any of their affiliates including partners and sponsors, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, volunteers, or sponsored venues liable for illness. I will take necessary precautions while at the event including, but not limited to, engaging in appropriate social distancing, wearing a mask in public areas when not consuming food or beverage, minimize face touching, frequently washing hands and avoiding risky environments. I agree to abide by the attendance requirements as outlined above. I agree to not attend the ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE if I feel ill or had recent exposure to a COVID-19 case. I further agree to notify the ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE within 24 hours of receiving a positive COVID-19 test in order for the ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE to put contact tracing measures in place for all participants in the ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STUDENT CONFERENCE.
